SPORTS

THERAPY

Sports injuries are much like non-sports injuries.

in that they can either by from repetitive use or a traumatic episode. If the injury is traumatic and requires surgery, our physical therapists will work closely with your surgeon and follow their rehabilitation protocol. If the injury is for unknown reasons or from repetitive use, our physical therapists will investigate to find probable causes for the injury and develop a treatment plan to return the athlete to their sport.

The list of sports injuries is endless, however here are a few of the most common that we have seen and treated:

  • Tennis or Golfer’s Elbow (Lateral & Medial Epicondylitis)
  • Rotator Cuff Tendinitis
  • Wrist sprains
  • Patellofemoral pain syndrome (knee cap pain)
  • ACL, MCL, and or Meniscus knee injuries.
  • Hamstring strains.
  • “Groin” strains (Adductor Muscle group strains)
  • Shin Splints
  • Ankle sprains

WE

BELIVE

We believe that, while athletes who become patients may have the same diagnosis, no two injuries are the same and shouldn’t be treated as such. We will determine the best course of action based on your individual symptoms and not the generic approach you may find when looking up a diagnosis online. We may modify your treatment plan each visit to ensure that you achieve your desired result as quickly and safely as possible.

Our desire at Hamilton Physical Therapy is to provide an unparalleled experience. The healthcare field has seemingly lost its personal touch and we are determined to bring it back! This will be evident during your initial encounter with us. Stop in our call to see how we can help you get back to the sport you love!
